Context
Dynamite Barbershop is an award-winning barbershop with two Edmonton-area locations — one in North Edmonton and one in St. Albert. Named "Best Barbershop in St. Albert" by the St. Albert Gazette in 2024, the business had a loyal local following but lacked a strong digital presence to match its reputation.
Problem
The client had no modern website to showcase their services, team, or locations, and no digital marketing strategy to compete online. Walk-in traffic was unpredictable and they had no reliable way to drive bookings from people searching for barbershops in their area.
Solution
I designed and built a fully custom website in 3 weeks, including a bespoke admin panel so the client could update business information without developer help. I then launched and managed a sustained 10-month Google Ads campaign targeting local searchers across both locations, resulting in a consistent 30% monthly increase in foot traffic.

Build a Modern, Fast Website
The business had no web presence capable of converting local search visitors into walk-ins or booked appointments.
Designed and developed a full-site in Next.js and Tailwind CSS — covering Home, About, Services, Team, Locations, and a Contact page — with a mobile-first layout, rich animations, and sub-2-second load times.
Custom Admin Panel
The client needed to update business hours, pricing, and team info on their own without relying on a developer every time.
Built a secure, lightweight custom admin panel that allows non-technical staff to edit any business information (hours, prices, team bios, locations) directly through a clean UI — no CMS subscription required.
Drive Local Discovery via SEO
Most potential customers search for "barbershop near me" or similar queries; ranking well means free, recurring foot traffic.
Implemented on-page SEO best practices across every page: structured data (LocalBusiness schema), optimized meta titles/descriptions, fast Core Web Vitals scores, and keyword-targeted copy for both Edmonton and St. Albert markets.
Grow Foot Traffic with Google Ads
SEO takes time; the client needed results quickly and wanted to actively invest in marketing to outpace nearby competitors.
